Nabeel Kallas is a 26-year-old medical doctor, who decided to continue his medical specialty in Germany. With his keen eye for detail and a passion for sharing his knowledge and authentic experiences, Nabeel brings a unique and informed perspective to his blog, Calling Germany Home.
Hey there, fellow adventurer! I’m Nabeel, a bike-riding, café-hopping introvert who decided to make the move to Germany for the back half of his twenties.
Whether you recently started to make the move to this beautiful country or if you’re already here, I bet you can relate to a big portion of my journey thus far.
Learning German was the first hurdle I faced. It wasn’t love at first sight, I can tell you that. But with time, I grew fond of the its unique rhythm and structure. With each new and looooong word learned and each weird constructed sentence, I felt like I was piecing together a puzzle, making sense of the world and culture around me.
When I’m not engrossed in my medical studies and my entrepreneurial adventures, you can find me exploring the city on my bike or settling down in a quiet café with a strong cup of coffee and my laptop.
These morning excursions have become my little tradition – a way to connect with the city and its people while enjoying the tranquility before the day’s hustle truly begins.
Adapting to life in Germany hasn’t always been a smooth journey. There have been times when I’ve felt like a fish out of water. But each day brings new lessons and discoveries, and every challenge faced adds a new layer to my understanding and appreciation of this country.
One of the things I’ve cherished most about this journey is the opportunity to share my experiences with you. Through this blog, I feel like I’m reaching out to my own past self, offering nuggets of wisdom I wish I had known earlier. If my stories and insights can make your journey a little easier, then I’ve done my job.
So whether you’re a fellow medical professional, someone planning to move to Germany or just a curious reader, I hope my blog brings you a sense of connection and the information you’re looking for.
Feel free to reach out, ask questions, or share your own experiences with me – I’d love to hear from you.
